Browsers and the Help
This section describes some of the issues that can occur when you use the Help.
- In the Help toolbar, some of the buttons don't do anything.
Reason: If you are using Chrome as your Internet browser, some of the buttons do not work. This is because recent versions of Chrome prevent cross-frame scripting.
Workaround: If you want to use the buttons in the Help toolbar, view the Help in a different browser (for example, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox).
- In the Help toolbar, the Search box is not working.
Reason: If you are using Chrome as your Internet browser, the Search box in the Help toolbar does not work.
Workaround: To perform a search in the Help, click the Search tab in the lower left, type your search term or phrase in the box, and click Search. Alternatively, you can use a different Internet browser (for example, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) to view the Help.
- When I have a Ribbon command topic displayed, only the Overview tab is showing.
Reason: If you are using Chrome as your Internet browser, only the Overview tab appears in the Help. The other tabs (Procedures and Examples) do not appear.
Workaround: If you want to see the other tabs, view the Help in a different browser (for example, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox).
Note: Only some topics have Procedures and Examples tabs.
